How would you like to play some hoops or cruise in a paddle boat? Out buildings old, run down and dirty. They offer plenty of options for all size rigs and both mountain and lake view sites. This campground fills up fast in the summer.
Located on the Havasupai Indian Reservation, the Havasupai Campground is one of the most popular campgrounds in the area and for good reason. Like all government campgrounds we've been to, plenty of space between sites. One camper was pleasantly surprised to find the park so quiet, and without many campers, over Labor Day weekend. We didn't have any issues with the hook-ups and the wifi worked great. Pictures can never fully capture this unique landscape.
The final options are to go directly to the source and call the location itself, where you will reach a friendly staff member ready to answer your questions and complete your reservation. Campground sits an easy hundred yards or so from Big Lake. Despite the host warnings that it would be very crowded over the weekend, it wasn't.
First of all, they bent over backwards to accommodate our dates and squeeze us in even though they run pretty close to full capacity. The full hook-up sites over electric, water, and septic and can accommodate up to foot rigs. No electric hookups are available. Campsites are a bit rustic with potable water, no electrical hookups and pit toilets. The site was level and the hookups convenient, hamilton free dating with a picnic table.
Nestled in a grove of ponderosa pine, the Lynx Lake Campground is a great place to enjoy boating, camping, hiking and wildlife viewing. There is a Visitor's Center, Park Store where you can buy goodies and a Marina where you can rent a boat. Very close to town and stores.

Some dispersed camping areas, including Cholla Bay, are open year-round, while others, such as Bermuda Flat, are open seasonally, usually from mid-February through mid-November. They all have something unique and special about them. All have water, picnic tables, grills and shade and are near hiking trails and boat access points to the lake and river. Guests enjoy the usual array of beachy activities, and a trolley that loops around town stops in front of the park. Past visitors report that it's fairly easy to get a space during the week.
Its a nice park and Prescott was enjoyable, but I will not be back to this park though I may be back to Prescott or Prescott Valley. There are toilets but pack your own water. Anglers come for the trout, crappies and channel catfish stocked here.
The water is almost hot and has a timer on it. Some locations even include patios for outdoor activities, dining and socializing. You have entered an incorrect email address! The park caters to adults, so families should look elsewhere. Cherry Creek State Park in Aurora features biking, boating, and bird watching among many outdoor pursuits.

Arizona RV Camping
Want to do some hiking, tent camping but nothing too extreme. This off-the-beaten-path lake is a serene place for wildlife viewing and exploring the water by boat. Located in the Tonto National Forest, Apache Lake offers endless outdoor recreation options including boating, fishing, drinkers hiking and water skiing. We reserved bookend weekends and they somehow lost our reservation for the following weekend. Staff are very friendly and check-in was fast and easy.
There are nice picnic tables and a fire pit at each site. Campers say the resort is ideally located near beaches, shopping, and restaurants. Lots to do in Prescott Valley. Some single spots are good size.
Relax, you're with friends. You can make reservations but there are also quite a few first come first serve sites. Like that there aren't a lot of lights in the park to dim the night sky. Patagonia Lake State Park sounds like a great place. The sites are gravel with a concrete pad for a patio.

Home to the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead is a family vacation spot that offers activities like fishing, boating, and hiking. Rancho Sedona is located close to town but still maintains a secluded feeling. All stays longer than seven days incur charges for electric use. Spots are small, unshaded and plain. Don't worry about showing up and not finding a site.
There are vault toilets available but no other amenities. Located just off the shore of Lake Powell, the Wahweap Marina offers a load of activities from boating and fishing to exploring the local resort town. Family-friendly activities include hiking, boat rentals, a playground, a pool, and a fire pit. Bugling elk and yodeling turkey are common autumn sounds from the hills surrounding the lake. Bit of an odd couple and sometimes difficult, but can be pleasant.

It is located adjacent to the Woods Canyon Lake where you can rent boats and fishing gear. This is a beautiful campground and we have been here many times before and will continue to come back to.
